Last Updated: November 26, 2025
Agreement to Terms
By using Pointa (the "Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Extension.
What Pointa Does
Pointa is a Chrome Extension that helps developers:
- Add visual annotations to localhost web pages
- Track bugs and UI issues during development
- Export feedback to AI coding assistants
- Collaborate on local development work
License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pointa for your development work. You may use it for personal or commercial projects.
Your Responsibilities
When using Pointa, you agree to:
- Use the Extension only for legitimate development purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the Extension
- Not use the Extension to violate any laws or third-party rights
- Keep your contact information accurate if you reach out to us
Your Data
You own all the annotations, screenshots, and feedback you create. We store this data locally in your browser by default. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
Free to Use
Pointa is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, but we'll give you clear notice before any changes that might affect you.
No Warranties
Pointa is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be perfect or available. Use it at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of Pointa, including data loss, work interruption, or any other issues. Since the Extension works with your local development environment, you're responsible for maintaining backups of your work.
Third-Party Integrations
Pointa may work with third-party AI tools (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.). We're not responsible for how these third-party services work or handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Updates and Changes
We may update Pointa at any time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. These updates will happen automatically through the Chrome Web Store. We may also update these Terms, and continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You can stop using Pointa anytime by uninstalling the Extension. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, though we hope that never happens.
Open Source
Parts of Pointa may be open source and subject to separate open source licenses. Check our GitHub repository for details.
